FOI applications concerning personal affairs


If you have had access to documents from WorkCover Queensland that relate to your personal affairs or the personal affairs of a deceased person to whom you are next of kin, section 53 of the

Freedom of Information Act 1992 states that you are entitled to apply to WorkCover Queensland for correction or amendment of information that is out of date, inaccurate, incomplete, or misleading. We have thirty days after the receipt of a request to make a decision and notify of the outcome. Changes can be made by altering the information or adding an appropriate notation to the information.

An information release officer will notify you of the outcome of your application. If you do not agree with WorkCover Queensland’s decision, you are entitled to a review of the decision. Your review options can be discussed with an information release officer at WorkCover Queensland.
