Why work at WorkCover Queensland?

Working at WorkCover Queensland means the chance to make a real difference for workers and their employers, the ability to balance life’s priorities, and the opportunity to develop and grow.

Make a real difference

We are focused on balancing the needs of employers and workers across the state, and this balance underpins everything we do. Being injured at work can be physically, psychologically, and financially difficult for employees and employers. Our people have the chance to help support workers to get back to work and make a meaningful difference across the Queensland working community.

Work life balance

Maintaining a balance between work and life outside the office is important. We support our people to keep this balance through a variety of flexible leave options, including bank time and the opportunity to purchase additional leave.

Opportunity to learn

To deliver the best outcomes for our stakeholders, we believe it's important that our people are experts in workers’ compensation. Our people have the opportunity to learn across all areas of the business, from our claims support areas through to our claims management and relationship building with stakeholders.

We welcome people from a wide variety of career backgrounds, such as:

  • insurance—claims managers, insurance assessors, workers’ compensation
  • medical and allied health—physiotherapist, nurses, other allied health professionals
  • legal—lawyers and legal professionals with experience in personal injury or Workers’ Compensation
  • other professional backgrounds.

Our benefits

At WorkCover we provide our people with a range of benefits including access to paid parental leave, discounted private health care, free influenza vaccinations, financial support for wellness, and access to our employee assistance program.
