What does my policy cover?

A WorkCover Queensland accident insurance policy will cover the cost of compensating a worker who is injured while working for you, including:

• compensation payments to the injured worker
• hospital and medical expenses
• workplace rehabilitation costs
• lump sum compensation for permanent impairment
• damages costs associated with a common law claim made against you.

Your policy covers you for the costs associated with a statutory claim made by an injured worker. WorkCover Queensland will also act on your behalf if the injured worker sues you by making a common law claim.

Common law damages costs are paid when an injured worker sues and proves that their employer is at fault. This policy covers you for the costs of these damages.
