Is my business automatically covered?

In most cases, WorkCover will cover you for common law claims lodged by your workers. You may not be covered if certain conditions under the legislation haven’t been met, for example:

• if the claimant was not a ‘worker’ within the legislation
• if you didn’t have a current Accident Insurance Policy with us at the time of the accident
• if the claim happened outside Queensland.

If you are not covered for the common law claim, we will notify you as soon as that decision is made.
