What does my policy cover?

A household workers’ insurance policy will cover the cost of compensating a household worker you employ who is injured while working for you. These costs can include:

Common law damages are paid when an injured person sues you and proves that you (as their employer) were negligent. This policy covers you for the costs of these damages.

A WorkCover Queensland household workers’ insurance policy will not cover workers employed by a landlord in connection with rented houses, flats, boarding houses, and other simular accommodation arrangements. Depending on the employment conditions, workers employed in or about a residence from which a business is conducted may require the landlord or business owner to take out a WorkCover Queensland accident insurance policy.
