How we manage claims


At WorkCover Queensland, we are committed to helping injured workers return to work safely and quickly through effectively managing their claim.

If a claim is ongoing, after it has been accepted, a WorkCover Queensland customer advisor will work with the worker, employer, and treating providers to facilitate a return to work. At WorkCover we use an injury framework to tailor return to work programs. Working closely with the team involved, we make sure that the injured worker is ontrack to return to work quickly and safely.

To help with claim management, an injured worker needs to provide WorkCover Queensland with medical certificates and if asked by a customer advisor, attend medical examinations and other rehabilitation related activities.
