The Transit Australia Group (TAG) is the largest privately owned transport company in Queensland and is parent company to Surfside Buslines, Sunbus, Gold Coast Shuttle, and Bustech. With a fleet of over 600 vehicles and 1300 staff, TAG delivers over 30 000 public transport services a week and carries more than 30 million passengers each year.
In the last two years, TAG has improved their claims experience significantly. WorkCover Queensland's Meredith Philistin has been working closely with the TAG team and collaboratively they facilitate the safest and quickest return to work for an injured worker. 'We have an excellent working relationship with Meredith—this has allowed us to keep our claims steady during a period of growth and reduce claims costs by 17%.
