Chemicals In Australia - Who's Who

Share |

The Australian Government provides resources to help employers across a number of industries, to learn the regulatory standards associated with chemicals. Chemicals in Australia- Who's who lists several links to help you comply with Australian Government (Commonwealth) legislation, which governs the supply of chemicals in Australia, and importers or manufacturers of chemicals or chemical products to ensure they comply.

You can also download safety information sheets from the Australian Government's National Industrial Chemicals Notification and Assessment Scheme (NICNAS) website.

NICNAS provides a national notification and assessment scheme to protect the health of the public, workers and the environment from the harmful effect of industrial chemicals. They also assess chemicals that are new to Australia and assess those chemicals already used (existing chemicals) on a priority basis, in response to concerns about their safety on health and environmental grounds.
