Taking out a household workers' insurance policy

You will need this information when you call us:

You are automatically covered from the date the application is received by WorkCover Queensland. This means coverage starts immediately after the phone call.

After taking out a policy, we will send you a premium notice to confirm your insurance coverage and the period of insurance.

WorkCover Queensland's household workers’ insurance policies are for a two year period, with the next insurance period starting 1 January 2009.

From 1 January 2009, a household worker policy will cost $40 for a two year insurance preiod.
