Payment options

The final due date for premium during WorkCover Queensland’s renewal period is 30 September.

Several payment options are available to you via Employer Online. You can pay by Mastercard or Visa, or you can arrange a direct debit to be taken from a nominated bank account whenever you choose. If you’re eligible, you can also set up a payment plan online.

If you choose to pay in full by 16 September, you receive a 3% discount on your premium. Check your premium notice to see if you are eligible for the discount, or call us on 1300 362 128.

Tips for premium payment

Our due dates mean that we must have received your payment by that date—if you’re paying by cheque, allow at least a week for us to receive and clear your cheque into our account.

Please keep your contact details up-to-date so that all our renewal information reaches you at the right address.

These are the full range of payment options available to you, to renew your accident insurance policy. This information is also listed in full on your premium notice.

Credit card

You can pay your premium by Mastercard or Visa by using our online service, Premium online, or over the phone by calling 1300 132 278 (this is an automated service). This option is only available for total premium up to $10 000.

Payment plans

If your premium is $1200 or more, you can set up a monthly or quarterly interest-free payment plan to pay your premium. Payment plans are subject to the terms and conditions outline in the direct debit client agreement.

BPAY

Contact your financial institution to pay your premium via BPAY (Biller code 182006) using your cheque or savings account. For more information, please contact your financial institution or see www.bpay.com.au.

Electronic funds transfer (EFT)

Go online, or follow these steps to pay your premium by EFT:

  • deposit your payment with the Commonwealth Bank of Australia
    • BSB 064 013
    • account number 1000 8320.
  • please use your WorkCover Queensland policy number as the reference number
  • on the same day, email your contact details as requested on your premium notice to premiumeft@workcoverqld.com.au.

This will ensure we can correctly match your payment to your insurance policy.

Cheque or money order

If you are paying by cheque or money order, please attach the payment slip from the bottom of your premium notice and return it to:

WorkCover Queensland
GPO Box 2772, Brisbane QLD 4001

Please allow at least a week prior to the payment due date for the cheque to reach us and clear.

We do not accept cash payments, however you can deposit cash at any Commonwealth Bank by using the bank account details listed for EFT above.

Late payment

Late payment of your premium will result in an automatic late payment penalty of 5% of your outstanding premium being applied. Until all outstanding premium (including penalties) is paid in full, you will be deemed uninsured and may be liable for claims costs that arise.

This late payment notice will be mailed to you in early October.

If you are unable to pay your premium by its due date using any of the methods above, you can apply for premium dunging from your financial institution or independent premium funders.
