Common law claims

The common law system in Queensland means that workers may be able to lodge a common law claim if their work-related injury was caused as a result of a breach of contact, breach of statutory duty, or negligence.

Statutory claims

A 'no fault' workers' compensation scheme means that Queensland workers have the right to apply for statutory benefits, no matter who or what caused their workplace injury.
