Assisted by higher than expected wages growth and a decrease in the outstanding claims liability, we’ve continued to maintain a fully funded position. This year has seen many changes as we continued to improve our service delivery to address the needs of our customers and stakeholders. Focusing on our relationships and methods of communication, we have implemented new strategies to help employers improve injury management and achieve positive stay at work and return to work outcomes.

WorkCover also achieved the milestone 15 years of operation this year, moving from an underperforming insurer in the mid-1990s, to one of Australia’s leading workers’ compensation insurers today. It is thanks to the commitment and dedication of our Board members, executive management team and all of our people that we can look positively to the future.

We look forward to continuing the trend of delivering the best possible benefits to workers at the lowest possible cost to employers.
