Who we are
WorkCover Queensland provides workers' compensation insurance to Queensland employers and helps workers after a work-related illness or injury.
What we do
When a worker is injured or gets sick from work, we manage their claim and pay compensation. We also help coordinate treatment and rehabilitation to support their recovery and safe return to work.

What you need to know
- We’re government-owned, self-funded and established under the Workers' Compensation and Rehabilitation Act 2003.
- If you’re an employer in Queensland, you must hold a WorkCover accident insurance policy unless you’re approved as a self-insurer.
- We work to keep premiums low while helping workers recover and get back to work safely.
