Paying your premium

Paying your premium is simple, flexible and easy to manage. Whether you’re taking out a new policy or renewing an existing one, you can choose the payment option that works best for you.

It’s quick and easy to pay online

You can pay your premium online if you have:

  • Accident Insurance  
  • Workplace Personal Injury Insurance
  • Household Worker Insurance

How to pay online

  1. Log in to WorkCover Connect
    You’ll need your username and password. Forgotten your login details? You can reset them securely online.
  2. Click ‘Pay premium’
    You’ll see it in the top left once you log in.
  3. Pay or set up a payment plan
    Follow the prompts to pay or set up a monthly interest-free payment plan.

What’s on your premium notice

You’ll pay GST and stamp duty on your premium.

Your premium notice will include:

  • your assessed premium
  • GST at 10% of your assessed premium
  • stamp duty at 5% of your assessed premium (inclusive of GST).

More about your accident insurance premium

Paying for a new policy

You can pay your premium when you take out your policy, either online or over the phone.

You can either:

  • pay in full
  • take advantage of an interest-free monthly payment plan.

Renewing your existing policy

You must renew your policy between 1 July and 30 September.

You can either:

  • pay in full, or
  • take advantage of an interest-free monthly payment plan.

Pay by 16 September to get early payment benefits  

We’ll give you a 3% discount if you:

This is also the last date to set up a payment plan.

30 September is the last day to pay to keep your cover and avoid penalties

If you don’t pay by 30 September, your cover will end.

If your payment is overdue:

  • you may receive a late payment penalty
  • your policy won’t cover you until you pay all overdue amounts (including penalties).

If a worker is injured when your premium hasn’t been paid, you could be responsible for their claim costs.
